The Humboldt Professorship

The Humboldt Professorship is a highly-endowed professorship to promote research and draw top international to German universities awarded by the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation and funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research has been awarding since 2008.

The professorship was awarded to Professor Dr. Sven Berneckerin in the discipline of Philosophy in 2016. The Cologne Center for Contemporary Epistemology and the Kantian Tradition (CONCEPT) was etablished in 2016 and received funding of Euro 3.5 million over five years through the professorship.

The Cologne Center for Contemporary Epistemology and the Kantian Tradition (CONCEPT) is sponsored by a generous five year grant by the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation and was founded in 2016.
