Course description

The single-subject MA in Linguistik/Linguistics investigates linguistic structures and skills from a variety of perspectives using various methods. As cognitive, social, cultural, biological and physical aspects play a role in the understanding of language, linguistics as a scientific discipline stands at the interface between the life sciences, social sciences and humanities. The degree programme is offered in two fields of study: Linguistik and Linguistics. The latter is comprised exclusively of modules in English.

The MA Linguistik/Linguistics with Linguistik is aimed at German-speaking students and those who speak German at least at level C1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). For international students, we offer an MA in Linguistik/Linguistics with Linguistics in English. For further information, please see the department page.
