appointing and integrating international researchers
Aim With its Tenure Track Professorship programme, the Wübben Foundation for Science supports German universities in appointing and integrating international researchers in career stage R3. Proposals may be submitted for candidates with a doctorate who have been working outside Germany for at least three years at the time of application. A return to the place where the doctorate was obtained is not possible. The proposal can be submitted to the foundation as soon as the person to be appointed has been identified.
Target Group German universities
Funding up to € 1.2 million for the remuneration of the scientist as well as personnel and material resources, investments and onboarding and dual career measures (half of the costs of a tenure-track professorship plus additional funds amounting to 10% of the Foundation's share of the costs)
Internal Deadline Only one proposal per university may be submitted. The internal procedure is done through the dean's offices of the University of Cologne. They can send the completed template and the appendix (CV of the candidate) to d7.beratung@verw.uni-koeln.de by Monday, 9 February 2026 (deadline at the foundation: 31 March 2026).
