Consultation on the Master's degree application of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities
(not for the Master of Education)
Master’s degree application - consultation
The Faculty of Arts and Humanities offers a variety of different Master's degree programmes in the non-educational field. These can be studied as single-subject, double-subject or joint master's degree programmes. There is also a cooperation with the Faculty of Human Sciences and the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, as well as with the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences and the Faculty of Law in the area of joint masters.
If you would like to learn more during or after completing your Bachelor's programme about
- which options you have for studying the mostly consecutive Master's programmes
- if you have questions about the admission requirements
- if you have questions about the formal application process
- if you are unsure during the application process
if you have questions about the transition from the Bachelor's to the Master's degree programme
we will be happy to help you.

Document verification - verification note
Students who are acquiring/acquired a Bachelor's degree at another university in Germany are/were admitted to the Master's programme with proviso.
These external students must submit their documents to the Master's Admissions Office for verification of the documents submitted only as copies in the KLIPS application. They will then receive a verification note which will lead to the lifting of the re-registration block in the Student Administration Office (provided that all other enrolment-relevant documents have been submitted).
If you have an international degree and have the VPD, you do not have to hand in originals. In that case, it only needs to be presented, if the Bachelor's certificate was not yet available at the time of application
You can either come to our office (room 028, Philosophikum) to our opening hours (mondays 1 to 3 pm or Thursdays 12 to 2 pm) or send us a certified copy of the required documents by 15 January (for the enrollment in winterterms) or 15 July (for enrollment in summerterms) and, if you wish to have them returned, a stamped and addressed return envelope.
Otherwise, the conditional admission cannot be lifted.
